Whitney Houston’s passing was a shock to friends and family around the world but it has been claimed that she had a premonition about her death.

According to TMZ.com the singer became spiritual in her final days and told friends she ‘really wanted to see Jesus’.

Bobby kissed the sky and said ‘I love you’... but fans blame him for Whitney Houston's downfall

SHATTERED Bobby Brown broke down as he played a concert hours after his ex-wife's death — shouting: "I love you, Whitney!" and blowing a kiss to the skies.

Yet some fans blame him for the superstar singer's spiral into drugs and addiction, with one friend saying: "He was there every step of the way."

Brown, 43, appeared at a gig in Mississippi on Saturday — shortly after the shock news broke of Whitney's tragic death.

He arrived on stage late to join his band New Edition after apparently collapsing with emotion just before the show was due to begin.

Brown then received a huge round of applause from the audience before telling them: "I would like to say, 'I love you, Whitney'.

"The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage."

Bobby Brown's Father Dies

R&B star Bobby Brown is in mourning following the death of his father.
Brown's dad, Herbert Brown, passed away on Saturday (10Dec11) at the age of 82 after a long battle with cancer, according to Tmz.com.
The New Edition singer revealed earlier this month (Dec11) that his father, who he called Pop, had been hospitalized and he thanked fans for all their "prayers".
Brown's mother Carole died in January (11).

Investigation begins to find answers to Houston's death

LOS ANGELES — Investigators worked today to piece together what killed Whitney Houston as the music industry's biggest names prepared for a Grammy Awards show that will be undoubtedly feel as much like a memorial as a celebration.

Houston's body arrived at a Los Angeles morgue early Sunday, hours after the 48-year-old had been found dead in a hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was preparing for a pre-Grammy gala. Officials did not say when an autopsy would occur, but any cause of death determination will likely be delayed while they await toxicology results.

There will never be another Don Cornelius

There will never be another Don Cornelius. With his television show "Soul Train," the iconic producer and host put audiences on to the latest music, fashion and dance steps every week. Artists like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Run-DMC all took to Cornelius' stage and delivered some pretty memorable performances.

Cornelius was found dead in his Los Angeles home after police responded to a shooting call on Wednesday. While the cause of death has not been established, multiple outlets have reported that it appears to have been a suicide. In the wake of his death, the "Soul Train" host has been remembered by many in the music community, including Rev Run, who spoke to MTV News on Thursday (February 2) about Cornelius' impact.
